Stained Glass and Smoke

Standard Edition

I have been looking at this Stained Glass Candle Holder in my lounge for several weeks wondering if it was possible to create a Still Life Image of it.

In my minds eye, I imagined getting some smoke from a spent match rising up into the Stand.

After several failed attempts and many matches being struck and blown out, I managed to get the desired effect i was after.

Also by taking several shots at different focal points and then stacking them together, I ended up with this final image.

Just like some of my other Still Life images, i used a black background to help the image have more contrast and stand out.

This is sure to look good printed on Giclee Canson Baryta and framed.

Paper: Giclee Canson Baryta archival paper (310gsm).
